I am an Interior Designer in Winnipeg and I have been working with Karly for the past few years. Whenever we need cabinetry my clients and I work together with Karly to find the best possible solutions for the clients space. Collaborating with other specialists is the best way to work to get the best possible outcome for the client. Karly works with us to enhance our design and educate us on the newest and greatest developments in cabinetry. She is very easy to work with and takes what she does seriously. My wife and I are very happy with our new, greatly expanded kitchen designed and project-managed by Karly at Style Kitchen. We went to a number of companies, and chose Style over its competitors. Karly took the time to find out how we wanted to use our kitchen space (we have 4 kids, and so storage, size and functionality are key!), she drilled down to our style (modern to mid-century), and used that information to come up with a layout and look that just plain works for our family. We are so happy we contracted Style Kitchen. Karly was great to work with, she guided us through the design process (resulting in a very functional design), giving us valuable advice, recommendations, and installation oversight along the way.  This included quality custom doors and cabinetry in our mud room, main bath, en-suite bath and walk in closets.  Her installers were very professional and great to work with.  She was hands-on from start to finish - and finished on time!

  While researching kitchen renovation companies online, Style Kitchen Design piqued my interest. An email to the company was promptly responded to by the President/Designer Karly.  At the first home visit, she showed that she clearly understood the vision we had for our new kitchen i.e. the need for more counter space and more storage with regard to cabinets. She is knowledgeable and provided us with options and lots of ideas and we felt confident that she was someone we could entrust our reno to. It has been an absolute pleasure for us to work with Karly from Style Kitchen. Karly took the time to get to know us and understand the style that we wanted to achieve in a new kitchen. Our reno consisted of combining two rooms into one larger kitchen and dining space. She was was very patient with us during the design phase and swayed me away from sticking with the “standard” elements or crazy ideas I found on Pinterest. Karly took the time to listen to our kitchen remodeling goals as well as what we disliked in terms of styles.  Karly and her team are the best. Completely professional. I hired Karly to design and oversee my kitchen renovation. Her renderings gave me a clear idea of how things would look and more, they revealed her understanding of what would accommodate my needs. My kitchen has transformed from ugly to beautiful. In the words of one of my adult kids, "It's like you have a new house!"  Karly was quick to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns. The design phase: We asked 3 companies to come in and do an estimate for the work we wanted in our kitchen. Style Kitchen Design is the only company that actually listened to what we wanted and gave us a design that suited our needs and wants. Karly was the only one who was proactive in anticipating any issues that may arise such as the possibility of asbestos and issues with the load bearing wall, even consulting a structural engineer. The planning stage: Karly gave us names of businesses to consult to find the materials we could use. She gave us feedback and suggestions and provided us with samples of cabinetry material so we could make better choices. She also tweaked her design when we preferred something a little different. Emails and texts were promptly responded to. The construction phase: We were provided with a timeline which, for the most part, was respected. All of the subcontractors (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tilers, etc) were professional, polite and punctual. They did the work and all necessary clean up promptly. They helped us move some of our furniture back in place when we needed it. They even watched to make sure our cat would not escape when doors were opened. Materials were delivered on time, except for the backsplash tiles (supply chain issues). Even this was not a major issue as the kitchen was still usable. The work done was done to a very high standard. Final evaluation: We love our new kitchen as does everyone who comes over to our house. We were able to move a doorway which made all the difference. Even though the footprint of the kitchen is the same, it feels roomier and more open because of the redesign. We have a small kitchen in a small house but the redesign has improved the flow in our space and makes our small house feel bigger. Karly worked with what we had and made it better. What more could we ask for? 

Karly was so easy to work with. The moment my husband and I met her we knew she understood what we were looking for and would be able to bring our vision to life. From start to finish we were able to communicate any concerns we had and she addressed them right away. Our final product was exactly what she had promised. We are still wowed by the space on a daily basis.

It was more then an amazing experience working with Karly on our kitchen project, we knew from our first conversation with her that she knew exactly what we wanted and that she was going to make that happen (which she did). From our first home consultation with Karly, we knew that she "got us."  This was immediately clear by her questions, her comments as she checked out our kitchen cupboards, and how she responded to our questions. Once she was ready to start, we received a detailed printout on which trades would be in our home daily. Once the work was done, she responded professionally to deal with any tweaks that needed to be done.

I went to Karly with the idea of knocking down the wall between my tiny 1938 kitchen, and my huge formal dining room and renovating both areas. She came up with the clever idea of switching the location of the 2 rooms so my kitchen could be big and open, and not confined by the awkward corner space it was located in before. I couldn’t be happier with my end result. It’s hard to imagine what it looked like before.

We hired Karly at Style Kitchen Design for our kitchen reno and we are absolutely thrilled with what was delivered!  From the first meeting with Karly and Michelle (project manager), we knew we were going to get a quality product.  Karly was mindful of our budget, but with all of her great ideas, we made the decision to go bigger than initially planned...no regrets! When we received the initial plans, (we loved the 3-D rendering!) we requested some changes which Karly completed quickly.
Because our project was a large undertaking, it took quite awhile with numerous trades people in and out of the house for months. Every single person that Karly sent to our house was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable, and they always cleaned up before leaving for the day.  Michelle checked in regularly and answered questions we had along the way, connecting with Karly whenever necessary.

After spending a few months planning my "simple" kitchen with my cabinetmaker, I felt I really needed a kitchen design expert to review the plan before I moved ahead with the build. I am so glad I found Style Kitchen Design and Karly!  Karly reviewed my plans and sat with me, in my space, to discuss and assess my particular situation.  Karly took my plans from "okay" to "amazing"!  The design became much more functional with better storage and flow, and her suggestions for the upper cabinets and other details made the overall space much more cohesive and visually interesting.  Now that my kitchen is installed, I am thrilled!  I can't thank Karly enough for bringing her kitchen design expertise to my project!
